Stuff Written In The Day

Knave from Nabob

There was a knave from nabob,
who though he was a kabob.
he lept on the fire
and the flames rose higher,
there WAS a knave from nabob.

Lost Soul

the silky sea rolled up the beach
the waves glowed in the light,
i do not dare
though evening's fair
disturb the beauty of night.

for one fine day
not far away
I got an awful fright
but despite what I should
go back there I would
again that very night

though I arrived
I never survived
the beast lay in wait

so do not follow
the promise is hollow
for a monster hunter
so great

do not as I
for you will die
forgotten, lost, and alone

Stuff Written At Night

Pandemic

Some say meteor
Some say war.

Many say disaster.
Like in ancient lore.

But few can see
What shall do we?

If earth be a system,
a computer, say,
will this virus see another day?

Earth may remain,
but will life go on?
you and I are nature's pawns.

One chance.
Succeed or fail.
Compared to this,
All troubles pale.

Greed

An evil more ancient than the stars,
so religious leaders say.

But is it evil or merely greed?
especially in present day

What once was good, now is bad.
So many wise ones say.

For as society we must share
Survival and common goals.
And must always be sure to respect
one another's roles.

One once said these wise words
and they are read as such.
"United we stand, Divided we fall."
Did they ask too much?

Parodies

Puff the Drugged Up Dragon

<!> This composition in no way reflects either my views on the use of illegal drugs or my opinion of the original song. I just wanted to see what I could pull off if I tried.

Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lea

Little Jackoff Pothead loved that rascal Puff
and brought him drugs and firearms and other fancy stuff

Oh, Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lea

Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackoff took a break to smoke while puff rolled another J

Noble Kings and princes would bow whene'er they came
pirate ships would lower their flag when Puff roared out his name

Oh, Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee

A dragon smokes forever
But not so little boys

Petty theft and posession
make way for other crimes

One grey night it happened
Jackoff Pothead went to jail

and Puff that Mighty Dragon
could not front the bail.

His head was bent in stupor
green joints fell like rain

Puff no longer went to spray
along grafitti lane

Without his life-long friend
Puff did not like raves

So Puff that Drugged up Dragon
Sadly stumbled to his cave

Oh, Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lea

Puff the Drugged Up Dragon smoked by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lea
